Broader Process Coverage vs. Simpler Governance Structure

Business Context. As organizations map and govern more of their processes, the governance structure required to oversee them grows increasingly complex, with committees, owners, and review cycles multiplying alongside the process inventory.

Process TRIZ Resolution. Rather than adding new governance layers for every process category, organizations should apply a single, tiered governance model that scales oversight intensity by process risk rather than creating entirely separate structures.

Applicable TRIZ Principles

Principle 6 (Universality) applies a single governance model that serves processes of all risk levels through configuration.

Principle 35 (Parameter Changes) adjusts oversight intensity by risk tier within the same governance structure.

Principle 2 (Taking Out) removes redundant governance layers that duplicate oversight already provided elsewhere.
